3 Lecturers Arraigned in Courtover Sex Scandal with Student Principal actors in the sex scandal that rockedEdo State-owned Ambrose Alli University(AAU), Ekpoma in July 2010, involving alecturer of the institution, Dr. Peter Otubu anda female student, Judith Ivie Okosun havebeen charged before Magistrate Margaret Iluobe of Ekpoma magistrate court.Those charged before the court, SamsonOgbeide, Igbudu Samuel and Ojeabulu EghosaClement, all lecturers of AAU, and Judith IvieOkosun, Juliet Obehi Okosun, Esther Ogbeideand Aruya Ohis William are standing trial on a seven-count charge of alleged stealing, threatto kill, unlawful detention and publication,false statement and assault punishable underthe criminal procedure law. Dr. Otubu, a Catholic Knight of Saint Mulumba(KSM), was publicly stripped in the residenceof Judith, a 400-level engineering student onJuly 17 while allegedly attempting to have sexwith her in exchange for a pass mark in hercourse. Following this, authorities of AAU slammed anindefinite suspension on the lecturer forallegedly taking undue advantage of Judith.She was also suspended by the Universitywhich accused her of violating itsmatriculation oath.
